How it works

AI that's built for South Australian businesses

AI is already reshaping how businesses operate but for many small and family businesses, adoption feels risky, confusing, or out of reach. Eligible participants will undergo the following activities, which follow a structured, three-part model designed to deliver immediate value while building lasting capability.

AI Build Day

A hands-on group activation session where you and other participants from different businesses work directly with the simplefy.ai team to:

  • Understand how AI applies to your business and team.
  • Build a working AI agent or AI workflow.
  • Learn practical prompting and context-engineering techniques.
  • Apply foundational governance, privacy, and cyber considerations.

AI 1:1 Coaching

Post build-day coaching and tailored support across 2–3 sessions. Use these hours however your business needs them:

  • AI strategy refinement for long term uplift.
  • Agent, AI automation and workflow process design.
  • AI governance support, including tools and vendor selection.
  • Team adoption, education and change support.

Ongoing Support

Participants receive 6 months of access to simplefy.ai's support community, Slack group channel and evergreen AI resource hub, providing:

  • Ongoing guidance and resources on AI.
  • Peer supported learning and shared problem-solving.
  • Reinforcement of skills beyond initial build & coaching sessions.
  • Access to simplefy.ai's team via Slack channels.

The AI sales agent built by simplefy has transformed how our sales & operations teams work. We've seen major uplifts in efficiency, consistency, and quality during a critical growth phase.

FAQs

Common questions

Do I need prior AI experience?

No prior AI experience is needed, but some foundational AI literacy is essential. To help with this, we assess your baseline knowledge during intake, and if gaps are identified, we recommend completing either TAFE SA's AI Essentials or Google's AI Essentials before starting. This ensures you're ready to make the most of the build days and tailored coaching.

Is this a training course?

No. This is an AI activation program for SA businesses, funded & supported by the South Australian Government to provide equitable access to AI expertise & practical capability uplift with hands-on building and tailored coaching.

How much time commitment is required?

Once you have been accepted into the program, you will participate in a four-hour Build Day, followed by 2-3 scheduled coaching sessions (up to 5 hours) and be provided ongoing support, resources and community access for 6 months.

Is there a cost to participate?

Yes. Participants make a small co-contribution ($150) as part of the program, subsidised by the grant allocation, helping ensure commitment and value. Government grant funding only covers one participant per business. Additional team members are welcome to join – $175 per person (ex GST) for an AI Build Day, and/or $250 per person (ex GST) to add team members to the main participant's AI 1:1 Coaching calls.

Is this suitable for regional businesses?

Yes, absolutely. The program is delivered statewide with a combination of regional (in-person) build-days & online coaching, ensuring access across South Australia's greater metropolitan & regional businesses.

What happens after I register?

You'll be guided through an eligibility and readiness check before any commitment is made. Once eligibility is confirmed, you will be taken through a quick onboarding process to book in your build-day and schedule your coaching sessions.

Can I enrol multiple participants from my business?

Yes, multiple participants can join the build days, coaching and community access; however, the Government grant funding only covers one participant per business. Additional team members are welcome to join – $175 per person (ex GST) for an AI Build Day, and/or $250 per person (ex GST) to add team members to the main participant's AI 1:1 Coaching calls.

What if my business isn't eligible?
